Letters of Love: Connecting High Schoolers and Seniors in the Coachella Valley through the Written Word
In our fast-paced, tech-driven world, it’s easy to forget the simple joy of receiving a handwritten letter. Yet, for many seniors in our community, that joy can be transformative—offering connection, comfort, and a reminder that they’re not alone. Enter the Letters of Love campaign, an initiative designed to bridge generations and foster meaningful connections between high school students and seniors.
What Is the Letters of Love Campaign?
1. Fighting Loneliness: Many seniors face loneliness, particularly those with limited mobility or few family visits. A warm letter can provide much-needed companionships.
2. Reviving the Art of Letter Writing: In the digital age, letter writing is a lost art. This campaign brings it back, teaching students the beauty of tangible communication.

How It Works
1. Schools Partner with Seniors. Schools team up with local seniors centers or assisted living facilities to identify recipients.
3. Delivery and Connection: Letters are collected and delivered to seniors.
